Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, please drop off and collect your repeat prescription at your usual chemist.

steth_pills_diaryAppointments may be made by telephoning during normal surgery hours or by calling at the surgery.  You can also register for My Health On Line which will give you access to on line booking - please ask at Reception.

Routine appointments can be made in advance, which will enable us to offer you an appointment at a time best suitable to your requirements and preference of practitioner if available.

You will be asked about the nature of your appointment to enable reception staff to give you an appointment with the appropriate health care professional.

Urgent same day appointment requests will be triaged by the nurse.

A GP appointment is for ten minutes.  Therefore, usually only one problem can be dealt with in this time.  If you have multiple problems that you feel may take more than 10 minutes, please let the Receptionist know when booking the appointment.

Please remember Westfield surgery is a branch site and is closed from 12:30 on Wednesday and Friday.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.  Three of our nurses are prescribers.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

If you have given us your mobile telephone number you will be sent a text reminder - you can now cancel via this text reminder.

You can now also email your cancellation to us at - please provide your DOB and time and date of appointment you wish to cancel.
